Teacher: Pastor GiGi Allen Course Description: This course equips students to recognize the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is an in-depth study of the primary methods God uses to lead the believer: The Word of God, the inward witness, the inner voice, the voice of the Holy Spirit; and less common methods: visions, dreams, and Angels. Main Scriptures: Romans 8:14 – “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:16 – “The Spirit itself (Himself) beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.” Proverbs 20:27 – “The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.” |

Session 1: The Inward Witness Pastor GiGi Allen teaches how and why we are led by the Spirit of God. Every person is a spirit, has a soul and lives in a body. Because God is a spirit being, He communicates to us through our spirit. In this class, we study the Scriptures about our spirit, which is also referred to as the inner man and heart. The most common way the Holy Spirit leads us is through inward witness. Pastor GiGi gives a testimony of being led by an inward witness and provides practical areas in your life where you can invite the Holy Spirit to lead you. Session 2: The Inward Voice Pastor GiGi Allen teaches the second way God leads us through the inward voice. Apostle Paul obeyed the inward voice, his conscience at all times. When we become born again, we can trust our conscience. At the time of salvation, our spirits were recreated and God placed His laws into our hearts and minds. Our conscience can guide us in the small things and big things in life. Session 3: The Voice of the Holy Spirit Pastor GiGi Allen teaches the third way God leads us through the voice of the Holy Spirit. In the Gospels, Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would speak to us and tell us things to come. Throughout the Old and New Testament, God led His people through the voice of the Holy Spirit and He continues to do so today. As we become more acquainted with the Holy Spirit, we will become quicker to recognize Him and obey Him. Session 4: Praying in the Spirit Pastor GiGi Allen teaches the importance of praying in the Spirit to become more spirit-conscious.
